AI That Safely Works the Way Your Business Actually Runs

Security-first AI strategy for executives and business owners who want to move fast without building problems they’ll spend years cleaning up.

The pressure to adopt AI is real.

So is the cost of getting it wrong.

Organizations that rush into AI without the right foundations often end up in the same place: use cases that can't scale, data that shouldn't have been accessible, and no clear picture of what the AI actually did or why.

The pattern repeats because speed and security feel like tradeoffs. They're not — if you build it “Secure by Design” from the start.

The Experience Behind the Strategy

35 years building secure Enterprise systems and programs.

Now helping organizations get AI right from the start.

Brent Comstock spent two decades as an executive and practitioner inside some of the largest financial institutions in the country — U.S. Bank, ADP, SunTrust, Elavon, Cox Communications, and Early Warning, the organization behind Zelle.

That career spanned Information Security, identity and access management (IAM), data management, process design, and the kind of large-scale technology governance that most organizations only encounter during a crisis.

Before that, fifteen years of consulting work in data integration and process optimization gave him a cross-industry view that few practitioners develop inside a single organization: what works, what breaks under pressure, and what gets retrofitted at great cost when it wasn't designed right from the beginning.

Comstock Strategic AI exists because that pattern — deploy first, secure later — is repeating with AI, and the cost of getting it wrong is higher than it has ever been.

Your Questions, Answered

Do you work with businesses that haven't started with AI yet?

Yes — often that's the best time to engage. Starting before you've made commitments means we can help you build the right foundation rather than retrofit security onto something already in motion.

We already have an IT team. Do we need outside help?

Many of our clients have capable internal IT teams. What they often don't have is deep experience at the specific intersection of AI, data security and agent management — which is different from traditional IT security and evolving faster than internal teams can track. We complement your team; we don't replace them.

How long does a typical engagement take?

It depends on scope. An AI Readiness Assessment typically runs 2–3 weeks. A full strategy engagement runs 4–8 weeks. Implementation guidance is usually ongoing through the build cycle. We'll define the timeline clearly before we start.
